Preferred position: Defender
I’ve been playing for Redhill Ladies for 11 years and have progressed from the 3rd to 1st team. I play mainly in defence but do like to have a little run up the pitch every now and then!!
Redhill is a fun, supportive club with a range of ages and abilities. I have 2 little girls who have always been made welcome by my team mates - there’s a lovely family feel to the club & I love to see my girls joining with the warm up before games!! -

Preferred position: Defender
I started playing Redhill Ladies 7 years ago after not playing since school. I believe the club has a great social atmosphere and is always a laugh!

Catherine Lawton-Holmes
Preferred position: Midfielder
I have been playing for Redhill since 2001. I started off in defence and now play in midfield. Redhill is a great team to play for and everyone is friendly. I love playing hockey with the ladies in the first team.

Preferred position: Midfielder
I joined the club at the start of last season after moving from another club. I was nervous after only ever playing at my old club for 9 years. At the start I was very nervous and scared about making mistakes and would shy away from the ball and not really get involved. The girls made me feel welcome and were very supportive now I don't care I turn up and have a great time. The atmosphere in all the teams are great we all aim to get the job done, motivate each other to do our best and pick each other up when we are down. And if you do make a mistake it's not really a big deal we shrugg it off and laugh at it together. We want to get better together but have a laugh along the way.

I've hit a ball with a stick since 1991 and still love every second. Famed for my knees across the East Midlands, and loving playing ladies and mixed hockey at Redhill HC.

Preferred position: Forward
I joined Redhill Hockey Club as a junior aged 13. Starting off in the third team everyone was really supportive and encouraging helping me to progress up through the teams. By the age of 16 I was playing in the first team, the youngest player of the first team. I love playing for this team, we are really relaxed and always have a laugh - I was worried about feeling pressure of letting the team down but nobody cares and we support each other to be the best we can be. The social events we do as a club help us to gel and be friends on and off the pitch.

I started playing with Redhill in their Fourth team (when they had four teams :-)) and I have been able to progress through the teams and I am now playing for the First team. I really enjoy being part of the team and it so great to play together. It does help if you win, but you can have a good team game regardless. It is great to be part of this club and I feel I can make a difference in the club.

Preferred position: Defender
I’ve been playing with Redhill for quite a few seasons now and the club were so friendly when I joined, and have remained so. Whilst we work hard, we play just as hard and have lots of fun on Saturdays and during socials.

Iv'e just finished my first season with Redhill, after not playing hockey for a couple of years. At first I was nervous of joining a new club but everyone has been very friendly and welcoming! I'm looking forward to getting more involved with the club in the future.
