Redhill 'C' comes Fourth in Summer League

Redhill C team have been getting stronger over the past couple of summers. This year they had a great Summer League with a lovely mix of dedicated players from all three teams in the club. They battled well.
Sally's fast legs could be found everywhere on the pitch. Joanna's defending skills stopped many attacks. Andrea, she bought us ice lollies..... What more is there to say? Jenny read the game and put herself in the perfect place to receive the ball. Jude was another one that would not stop running. Laurel, normally a field player who did a brilliant job in goal. Rosie A told you where she was and was always ready to receive the ball. Vicki's great skills up front led to her scoring many goals. Emily did some great work in defence. Caroline whether in defence or at the front is always a great player to have on the team. Lastly not forgetting Kim's excellent ball skills and fast pace.
On the night of the finals, Redhill C team were down on their usual league players, but they still played with determination and spirit, even when Sally was taken off injured in the first game. In the first two games Redhill defended fantastically well, much to the frustration of the other teams.
Kim, Redhill C's captain, said that it was great to play with everyone in summer and next year let's bring a full team to the finals and show them our true skills.
