Second team Vs Ashfield Aztecs 2

We turned up for our rearranged our cup game after the waterlogged pitch last Sunday.

It didn't start well as we had to squeegy the pitch to make it playable, thanks to Tracey for showing us all how it is done!

We had lots of possession in the 1st half, with lots of attacking hockey by us, which eventually culminated in a goal from Kirsty.  There was some very positive passing and their goalie made some great saves!

In the dying minutes of the first half a ball was lifted into Andrea's knee and a short corner was awarded, it was deja vu for the defence as like yesterday the ball went in.

The second half started positively due to Matt's team talk at half time, some great passing and runs and crosses into the D, it just didn't seem to want to go in! The final whistle blew and it went to flicks.

The end was picked and Aztecs nominated us to go 1st...Caroline stepped up and calmy slotted it into the bottom right corner. Katie then made a great save which denied them a goal. I then stepped up and slotted it home - advantage Redhill! Katie again made a great save, Tracey then stepped up and was denied by a great diving save by Deb from Aztecs, their player stepped up and slotted it past Katie in the left corner.  Millie then was denied by another great save; Katie then made the crucial save to make it advantage to us...Kirsty had the decisive flick and lifted it over the diving Deb to take us through 3-1 on flicks......onto the semi finals!!
