| Match Report | It was another early start for us..whoever let teams like Newark start before midday lol! We had a team of 11, and started well with lots of possession and shots on goal..their keeper kept them in the game. They had the odd break away that the defence cleared, including the obligatory 'boob save'against Newark by Katie! Then a minute before half time they got a short corner and scored. Momentum was again with us with lots of great passing between the team, which resulted in a great run from Alice down the right and a cross which found Sarah who slotted in confidently into goal. We had some interesting umpiring decisions and I scorred a great own goal (which luckily didn't count due to the change in the rules this year!) they then had a goal disallowed. We should have capitalised on the pressure and had numerous shots on goal but unfortunately the gods were not smiling on us, and they scored another goal. We all played great hockey and was proud of you all!
