Second team Vs Beeston 6

Well what can I say, Southglade resembled a swimming pool in places! The rain was relentless, I dont think Matt was too impressed that he offered to help coach us today.

I told the girls I wanted a birthday win...and they all did me proud.  We had 3 debuts from Alex,Kirsty and Vic -coincidently all had at some point played for Beeston!

Maybe we were put off by the rain, but we weren't playing our best hockey at the start, we built the pressure up with some great play, which led to a short corner which I happily slotted away.  This seemed to give us some confidence as we soon made it 2-0 with a well worked pass from Kirsty to Caroline.

The half time whistle blew, Beeston wanted to call the game off due to the puddles, but we carried on.

Beeston had a goal disallowed after a horrendous foul on Alex which resulted in her having a stick in the neck and a sore head! This spurred us on to get another goal, and after some great play we were awarded another short corner which I gladly slotted home to further our lead.

Kirsty had a goal from a short corner disallowed, so no debut goal for her.

Everyone had a great game, and we're 2nd in the league- boom!!
